Update v0.2.0
Sonic Re;Velocity has been updated to version 0.2.0!
Update v0.2.0 to the 0th Revolution of Sonic Re;Velocity focuses mainly on non-gameplay improvements, mostly to do with the brand new Options Menu, HUD, UI and various behind-the-scenes bug fixes.
The main addition of this update is the new Options Menu, which allows you to configure various convenient options - there’s even a section to change the button prompts you see in the menu and in-game, so you can pretend your Xbox controller is a Switch controller.
Or, if you’re not a fan of symbols, or you’re using a non-standard controller, you can use the “Positional” button prompts, which are visually matched by position, a lot like most Nintendo Switch games that let you play with just a single Joy-Con.
Button prompts have been given a facelift - they’ve been made larger, they use the same Chakra Petch font used for text strings, they’re more colourful, and they now downscale properly with mipmaps, so they’ll look pretty even at the bottom of that menu.
But of course, we couldn’t just only give you menu stuff – so here’s Sonic running with the all-new Velocity State afterimage trails! (Toggleable in the Options!)
And that’s the main changes in v0.2.0 of Sonic Re;Velocity. I would have added some levels, but I really wanted to focus on the Options Menu first, since it’s such a huge addition all on its own.
